Class Mastery
Class Mastery is the major completion milestone of the Custom Class System.
A character becomes a master of a class upon reaching Class Level 100. Reaching this point represents more than simply gaining another level. It means the character has completed the primary progression of that class and has permanently added that mastery to the history of the character.
A mastered class can become part of larger progression systems, including Jack of All Trades and eligible Class Bonus Systems.
You have completed the primary journey of that class. Everything beyond that point becomes prestige growth rather than a requirement for mastering the class.
|
Begin by following one of the available class paths. Each class has its own identity, important supporting skills, and specialized style of progression.
|
As the class gains experience and levels, the character moves closer to completing that path. Class levels represent continued investment in the identity and progression of the class.
|
At Class Level 100, the class becomes mastered. The primary progression requirement is complete and the character permanently gains credit for mastering that path.
|
|
Once a class is mastered, that accomplishment becomes part of the character's long-term progression. The class is recognized as a completed path even if the character later chooses to pursue another.
|
Every mastered class contributes toward the broader Jack of All Trades path, rewarding characters who devote themselves to learning and mastering multiple disciplines.
|
When a mastered class has an eligible dedicated Class Bonus System, that class identity can become available through Jack of All Trades rather than remaining limited only to the actively selected class.
|
Your active class represents the class your character is currently following.
While playing that class, the character may use the Class Bonus System associated with that active class when one exists.
A mastered class is a class that has reached Level 100 and has been permanently completed.
Mastering a class allows that class to contribute toward Jack of All Trades. When the mastered class has an eligible dedicated bonus system, Jack of All Trades may gain access to that system through mastery.
Active Class: Direct access to the systems belonging to the class you are currently playing.
Mastered Class: Permanent completion credit and contribution toward long-term multi-class progression.
Jack of All Trades: The path that allows lessons and eligible systems from mastered classes to begin working together.
Reaching Level 100 completes the primary mastery requirement, but a class does not have to stop progressing.
Levels beyond 100 are considered Prestige Growth.
Prestige allows a player who truly enjoys a particular class to continue developing it without forcing every player to grind beyond Level 100 merely to receive mastery credit.
Prestige progression can support:
• continued statistical growth
• smaller scaling improvements
• future class-specific bonuses
• additional progression hooks
• long-term recognition for dedication to a favorite class
The important distinction is simple: Level 100 earns mastery. Levels beyond 100 represent continued dedication.
A character is not required to remain with one class forever.
After mastering one path, a player may choose to pursue another class and begin developing a new identity. The previously mastered class remains part of the character's history.
Over time, a character might become:
• a warrior who later studies magic
• a mage who learns the disciplines of crafting
• a hunter who eventually masters animal companionship
• a healer who later takes up a martial path
• a veteran who slowly masters many different disciplines
Each mastered class adds another completed path to the character and contributes toward the larger Jack of All Trades progression system.
A character begins as a Knight and develops that class until reaching Knight Level 100.
At that moment:
• Knight becomes a Mastered Class
• the character permanently receives credit for mastering Knight
• Knight contributes toward Jack of All Trades progression
• eligible Knight class-system access can later become available through the Jack of All Trades system
• the character may continue leveling Knight through Prestige Levels
• or the character may begin progressing another class
